WE DREAM Academy is a New Jersey–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit workforce training provider dedicated to preparing youth, young adults, and adults for high-demand careers in the creative arts, digital media, hospitality, and entertainment production sectors. Founded by industry professional and educator Mark A. Beckett, the Academy responds to a critical workforce gap in Essex County by offering accessible, employer-informed training programs that equip residents with technical skills, certifications, and career pathways leading to employment and economic mobility.

Training Model
WE DREAM Academy operates using a three-pillar approach:
- Technical Skills Training – hands-on instruction aligned to labor market demand
- Industry Credential Preparation – including WorkKeys NCRC, ServSafe, Audinate Dante Levels 1 & 2, and Adobe certification prep
- Career Navigation & Job Placement – coaching, employer referrals, and workforce readiness
The Academy prioritizes residents facing barriers to employment, offering programs that address inequities, support workforce participation, and connect graduates to sustainable career opportunities.
2026 EXPANSION PLANS
As part of WE DREAM Academy’s 2026 expansion, the organization is preparing to acquire a 25,000+ sq ft multi-purpose training facility in Essex County to consolidate all programs, labs, production spaces, and event training environments. Until acquisition, programs are delivered using existing training facilities and partnerships with local employers and institutions.
