WE DREAM Academy, a NJ nonprofit organization whose Arts & Entertainment Training and Career Development Facility holds close to its organization's mission to develop and train youth, young adults and adults for success in high tech and high touch Arts and Entertainment Production careers that set the stage for great performances. 

WE DREAM Founder and Executive Director Mark Beckett, an Arts and Entertainment educator, performer and entrepreneur officially formed WE DREAM Academy on March 19, 2019 and they received their 501(c)3 tax exempt status on December 1, 2021.  

Mark realized that there was a lack of mentorship, nurturing and guidance for young people who graduated from high school music and entertainment production programs. They began struggling to navigate alone through a $660 billion dollar a year media and entertainment industry and their hopes and dreams as a creative began to diminish.  WE DREAM Academy put together a team of industry experienced mentors and creatives to begin developing Arts and Entertainment Production courses for their continued growth and development and to bring back the excitement that first led them to be creative artists. 

Since inception, we began mentoring young people in areas of Music Production, Music Business and Entrepreneurship, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Audio & Video Technology, and Film & TV Broadcasting. Through the pandemic we started online career and job training classes to provide the knowledge and skills training to educate and empower creatives out front of and behind the scenes of production.  

We now have young people in some of the most amazing careers in the industry.  Our mentees are now working as Career and Technical Education music technology instructors, Audio Engineer assistants at the Public Theater in NYC, touring as A1 audio engineers and working as pre-apprentices in the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) stagehand union.
